About

The Faze Philosophy

Faze  is underpinned by an ethos about building the professional capital of educators based on the belief that for the most part educators approach their profession with positive intent and that sustainable improvement in practice will happen if educators feel safe to share and analyse their thinking and practice.  Sustainable improvement in practice cannot be achieved by focusing on behaviours alone. It cannot be achieved through accountability measures which punish or reward system directed behaviours. Sustainable improvement in practice is achieved through capacity building; providing opportunities for educators to become more aware and thoughtful of the choices they make as individuals and as a collective.

Faze is focused on building the professional capital of schools by simultaneously increasing the capacity of individual educators and the school communities they work in.  Developing cultures of trust and communication skills which serve self and others underpins our work. We work with schools to identify structures unique to each context so that professional communication with a focus on building professional capital can occur.
